The dischcloth is woven from cotton and bamboo-viscose fiber, which offers very high absorbency. The woven structure of the fibers provides maximum cleaning ability. The bamboo fiber has a feature whereby it inherently eliminates some bacterial growth thereby eliminating the typical bad smell from a dish cloth. Growing bamboo does not require chemical treatments of any kind, which supports a healthy environment. It also does not require extra watering, which reduces the impact on our environment. Our best suggestion to keep bacterial growth from happening: put the still wet dishcloth directly into the microwave oven (4 minutes) or boil in the stove. Best recommendation for removing dirt: wash with hot water and do not use a rinse agent.
