The Kanalljus process developed by Liljeholmens is simple and clever: four holes are pierced vertically in the body of the candle almost to the bottom. When the candle burns the melting wax flows down into these channels and not on your table or tablecloth. Also, the melted wax hardens when it reaches the bottom of these channels, thus reviving the candle: "like a Phoenix rising from its ashes". Which means that these dripless candles also last longer than average.

In addition the wax used for making these candles has a melting point (the temperature a particular wax reaches when it melts) higher than average. Each candle is Liljeholmens marked. The base of the candle is designed to remain stable in most candlesticks. Every single candle is branded with the name of the manufacturer. Diameter 2,5cm (2cm at the base). Height approx 20cm. Burns up to 6 / 7 hours. The Kanalljus (the candles that don't drip) also produce a very white & steady flamme. Kanalljus: the Swedish non drip candles.
